Meet the Stylist
Kyra Bishop, Interior Stylist
Most days you can find me doing what I love most, making things beautiful! Searching for that perfect finishing touch or refreshing a space is my rocket fuel. I style for people who are struggling with where to start and how to finish making their house a home, that families will love spending time in.
I began my academic training in a radically different field than I practice today. I graduated with a degree in Gerontology from McMaster University. Although successful in my Seniors Recreation and Event Management career, I was ready for a different challenge that also married my personal strengths and passions.
I inherited my love for all things beautiful growing up with a mother who was the owner and principal designer for a successful Interior Design firm. Growing up my mom always made it a priority to decorate my bedroom. My earliest memory is of my sweet bedroom with girlish charm, wallpapered with a delicate peach floral pattern and cottage country shutters. Fast forward to the 90’s and my room was transformed into my own personal garden to grow up in, complete with sky blue walls painted with a cloud technique and coordinating feminine Monet watercolour linens. My tastes have definitely evolved since then, but by creating rooms for me that reflected my personality and style, she was reminding me that I was important and valued.
I have learned that decorating our homes is a transformative process. It allows us to express who we are, what it is we love and surround ourselves with things that make us happy and inspire us. It’s the things that we put in our home that turn our house into a home sweet home.
After the best training a new Interior Stylist could ask for, I established my own full service home styling firm, KB Home Styling. An Interior Stylist was born and the rest is history in the making.
